two services

Easy to commission. Easy to review.

Remote mentoring

  • One-to-one online mentoring in the school day, 3 to 6 hours a week
  • Structured around The Autism Navigator, our own programme
  • Session notes, termly progress reports against Section E, and annual review contributions
  • Part of a wider package, never the whole of a young person's education

Suggested Section F wording

[Name] will receive specialist autism mentoring, delivered online one-to-one by an experienced autism mentor, for [3 to 6] hours per week across [2 to 3] sessions during the school day, for 39 weeks of the year. Sessions will be structured around The Autism Navigator programme, led by [Name]'s interests, and will focus on re-engagement, emotional regulation, independence and life skills, self-understanding and self-advocacy, and planning next steps. The provider will keep session records, report termly on progress against the outcomes in Section E, and contribute to the annual review.

£70 an hour: £8,190 a year at 3 hours a week, £16,380 at 6 hours. Commissioned as weekly hours, so missed sessions can be made up.

EOTAS coordination

  • One named contact for the whole package
  • Multi-disciplinary meetings run, minuted and followed up
  • Termly report on what's in place, what isn't and why
  • Annual review paperwork prepared and meetings supported
  • Early warning when a package is wobbling, before it becomes a complaint or a breakdown

Suggested Section F wording

[Name] will receive EOTAS coordination from a qualified teacher with SENDCo experience, for up to [3 / 7] hours per month. The coordinator will act as the single point of contact for the package, liaise with all professionals and the local authority, plan, chair and minute multi-disciplinary meetings at least every [term / half term], monitor and report on progress against the outcomes in Section E each term, and prepare for and support the annual review. [Name]'s views will be gathered in a way that suits them and will inform all planning decisions.

Essentials: £4,470 in year one. Full coordination: £9,430 in year one.
